Looking for a fun and social way to stay active? Whether you're a seasoned bowler or have never tried the game before, we’d love to have you join us! Our club welcomes players of all skill levels and ages—no experience necessary.

Drop in for a game, meet new friends, and enjoy the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We also welcome volunteers to help keep our club running smoothly—whether you have a little time or a lot, your support makes a difference!

New sport available!

Bocce ball has arrived at the Almonte Lawn Bowling Club, with four courts now open for anyone who wants to give this fun and easy-to-learn sport a try!

Bowling and bocce schedule

Lawn bowling practice takes place Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. Games start at 7:00 p.m. sharp. Bocce games will be organized following the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the annual Open House on May 24th. 

Since teams are organized on a nightly basis, we ask that bowlers arrive by 6:45 p.m. to ensure bowling begins on time. 

Everyone is welcome to bowl once a week, a few times a week, or every night - whatever fits your schedule! The first three visits to try out the sport are free! 

On Mondays after bowling concludes, everyone is invited to stay for snacks and socializing.

Upcoming events

Novice Training Day on Saturday, June 7, 2025 

• This is a free District 16 all-day training event for novices (new bowlers to 5 years of lawn bowling). It will be hosted by the Almonte Lawn Bowling Club this year and convened by Nancy Deschenes. It starts at 9:00 a.m. and runs to 3:30 p.m. There will be excellent coaching provided as well as having a head umpire on hand. We look forward to a successful and fun day.
